• Clipboard Data: When activated, Slingd briefly reads your clipboard to detect valid social media URLs. This data is processed locally and is never sent to our servers.
• Usage Data & Analytics: We collect anonymous metrics regarding app performance, successful downloads, and error logs to improve the application.
• Device Information: General information such as device model, OS version, and network status to serve appropriate advertisements and ensure app stability.

2. Device Permissions Explained

To deliver our "1-tap" routing experience, Slingd requires specific Android permissions. Here is exactly why we need them:

• Photos & Videos (Storage): Required to save downloaded media files to your device's local "Stash" and prepare them for sharing.
• Display Over Other Apps (Overlay): Required to show the floating Slingd Bolt button and routing UI while you are browsing other social media applications.
• Foreground Services: Required to keep the overlay active and process downloads in the background without interrupting your flow.

3. Advertising & Third Parties

Slingd uses third-party services like Google AdMob to display advertisements. These services may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalized ads based on your interests.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. All sharing actions initiated via the Slingd overlay are passed directly to your chosen messaging applications (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram) via secure Android Intents.

Your downloaded media (The Stash) and routing preferences are stored locally on your device using encrypted, offline databases. We do not host, backup, or have access to the media files you download.
